Sounds like you have your file structure set to fat32 instead of NTFS!

IMO your processor power is well below par!

Sometimes I sleep Barry  (I have 2 young ones to tire me out during the hols).

100% correct the minimum processor speed is 1.7 and considering an AMD2500 is 1.8M you are way below the starting point.

I should know I have the AMD2500 ;)

Man that is not the problem i can export with a 75mhz cpu if i want so only that it will take like a week. my question was why i can not export the timeline when the file to be exported is going to bigger than 4 gigs. But anyway i found out I need to use Fuse sequence from start/tools/fuse sequence. So my procesor is fine only that i'm not able to play real time all the effects. Damn...

Glad you can get it to work by fusing gineus, the initial pointer is towards your processor not being "man" enough.

Wish I could afford the time to wait like you do, unfortunately you are not using LE at its best but hey as long as you are happy

This pc is the most stable. i have a 2.4 ghz p4 but it resets it self only when i start the liquid editon. I've bought the new hdd, and i found out that is something else wrong with it so now i have to use this one. And the other one pc with 2.0 ghz is a laptop and has a slow and small hdd and now this is my best option right now.
Thanks. And i asked tech support for that and tey told me that edition 5.5 it uses legacy export codecs that are made to not export more than 4 gigs.

i would have some other question? About deinterlacing. is edition 5.5 capable of deinterlacing? or Tha best option remains Virtual dub

Why do you need to de-interlace video? unless I`m wrong, this only needed when you "Grab" a still for use in a photo package.

I`ll certainley bow to better knowledge but that was my understanding.

Are you seeing it only in the preveiw window or does it manifest itself on the finished video, i.e. DV Tape?

Also, what GFX card are you using?

For example we have 2 avi files in the timeline and i want to use a transition efect lets say page curl, from file1.avi to file2.avi,
When the cursor in timeline is passing over file1.avi all the frames in the effect page curl are from file1.avi and when the cursor goes from file 1.avi to file2.avi the frames in the effect are changing the effect then uses the frames from file2.avi and i belive that it shouldn't behave like that. Because I want that the effect page curl to curl the last frame from file1.avi, and in the background to be seen the firstframe from file2.avi, So it doesn't behave like that, and i want to know how to make it behave how i want. My video card is a ati 16 mb , proccesor 1000 mhz.

Whilst I`m sure you have done your best to describe the problem, I have a difficulty in understanding what you mean, please don`t take offence!

I had a problem with my Nvdia 5200 card when I changed earlier this year. You mention "Teeth Like" in your earlier post! Do you mean thjat when the page curl transition takes place that you have "teeth" during the transition? if so, is this manifested on the DV tape you record to as well as on the preview monitor or not?

In my case, like I have described, the cure was to alter the settings in the card profile to that of lo-res.

Hope this helps.

gineus - if you want to deinterlace with edition, you can do a 50% timewarp using CUT FIELDS. This changes each interlaced frame into two interpolated progressive frames. If this is then too slow (50% speed) then get back to normal speed by fusing slice (add some audio for stability) import fused slice and add 200% timewarp with CUT FRAMES to it. This gives a 25p deinterlaced progressive footage of original clip.
