Hello, i recently acquired a DV.now AV V1.4 from a dell computer. And it came with its lousy software package videowave 4. In the retail version of this package what kind of software did it come with?
Is it possible for this board to work with Vegas 4? By that i mean for capturing and previewing to an external monitor. If not are there any plugins for vegas?
My next question is,
what is the internal connector on the card for?
Is there any special drivers/ board software that it would come with if purchased in retail?
Thank you very much
The DV.now AV product typically shipped with Adobe Premiere 5.1 and later 6.0 bundled in (not sure about 6.5), and the FAST-Forward application that included the drivers for the board and Premier plug-in, provide a capture and limite editing utility, and an export capability. You can probably find the FAST-Forward driver set for download. THe last drivers produced did support Premiere up to 6.5, but not Premiere Pro.
If left to its own devices, Windows will usually install generic TI firewire drivers, and you can use its firewire port that way, but then it does not work with FAST-Forward. As far as I know, it does not support Vegas for analog I/O.
Thank you for your reply, Which card do you think is better The Mojave or the dell movie studio plus board?
Sorry, but I am not familiar with the boards you mention, at least not under those names.
Hello, thanks. WHen i try to install fast, it says hardware not detected. widows detects a 1394 controler , and a pcimultimedia device.
do you have any suggestions of what may be wrong
if i can obtain a copy of the inf files for the driver i can manually give windows the drivers then install the software and it should work.
how many devices should windows detect?
