Copyright is driving me insane

Having taken the decision last year to re edit all my highlight sequences to copyright free music for use on the internet so as not to fall foul of the copyright rules I'm now being pulled up by YouTube's auto detection system which keeps claiming the licensed AKM music tracks I'm using are, in fact, commercial music.
What is the point!! I've just typed 'UK wedding videographers' into Google and every single one of them on page one (and most likely every other page) is quite blatantly using original commercial soundtracks without a word of acknowledgment to the artists or composers.
I enjoy sleeping at night in the knowledge I'm playing by the rules but I'm also fully aware that by doing so I'm probably loosing out on potential bookings so maybe the time has come to sleep a little less.

I've been pulled up by YT for using AKM and Trackline stuff, it only takes 30 seconds to reply to the YT email giving the track details and within 10 seconds (yes, 10 seconds!) it gets cleared by YT - then you can sleep easy.

Yes Dave, I've done that and I'm having to wait until June before they get round to looking at it !

They must have changed the system then, when they've contacted me it's been an automated email. Going to the video there's a "marker" against the video in question with a "Dispute this" option - I've disputed it by giving details of the source of the track and then literally seconds after I've sent the details, I've had an automated email back removing the dispute, I'll have to try it again now....!

Yes, that's what I did but I've a marker now on the page where the dispute was lodged giving the expected date of an answer to the dispute - one comes up in a fortnight (from last month) and the other is in mid June (from last night) The clips are still playable but, it's just a totally ridiculous situation when I can go onto the internet and watch wedding highlight clips all day long that use copyright music and use Youtube or Vimeo to host them.

Just whacked up a few clips with a classical track from Trackline - I'll see what happens.

ohhh, first post here in a while.

that is one of the big reasons I use Vimeo over YT. I also buy my tracks from Song Freedom $20 a song and a far better selection of legal tracks. even some OneRepublic and Frank Sinatra. they recently got some disney tracks too if you were doing a kids party. Also if you get in contact with Song Freedom when YT disputes it, they get on to YT on your behalf

Yeah that's the one Wisz, you also have www.themusicbed.com, http://triplescoopmusic.com and http://withetiquette.com but song freedom is the cheapest for single use and I find it the most varied. Matt Thompson who runs it is also on the ball and a really nice guy. Since the big blow up last year with a few of the big names in the US getting sued by EMI  these sites have grown massively in popularity and the choice is getting better and better, a lot of american singer song writers at the moment but SOng Freedom have plain white Ts a popular british band and a couple of others. As this gets bigger I can see more record labels getting on board hopefully

Just coming back to the OP, I've just uploaded a quick video edit for a friend, half way through I'd dropped in a track from Digital Juice BackTraxx Vol 1, Youtube disputed it with a third party claim, I disputed the claim and YT have now dropped it - The whole process from originally uploading the video to the end of dispute was less than 40 mins.

Maybe I was just unlucky Dave. All my disputes have now been resolved but its taken 4 weeks for one of them and the other two took over a fortnight !! The only reason I use Youtube is to make use of the ranking on Google - Vimeo doesn't score well in the Google searches.
