I was in my local clearance bargains depot in Stanley Co Durham today and they had new Bush freesat HD boxes with a 250gb hard drive on offer at £59.99.

As I ditched sky last year I still have my dish so now have freesat as well as freeview, the clearance bargains depot is part of the Argos chain and it may be worth searching out your local one if you are after a freesat HD box!

It is this model that I got: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5322680/Trail/searchtext%3EBUSH+FREESAT.htm

That is an amazing price for a Freesat recorder. I ditched Sky earlier in the year and went with Freesat but I'm beginning to wonder if Freeview HD wouldn't have been a better option. There are a couple of channels on Freeview which aren't available on Freesat (and there are a fair number on Freesat I never watch).

I can agree with that as I still have to use my freeview box to get Dave and other channels that we enjoy watching so at least I haven't had to fork out £200 just to get a few extra HD channels.

It also has ethernet with access to BBC i-payer etc but as my broadband is dreadful I can't see me using that very much.
