Hi Guys,
anybody know if it is possible to 'reverse' a clip in Prem 6. I want to play a clip backwards to give the impression of something being built when it was actually being taken down !

What about the filter called 'backwards'? Would that also work?

if you get it to work in real time , tell me how you did it.
it might work for a very short clip but thats a lot of data to output wrong way round.

No Droped frames !!!
but also no picture.
I get a massege telling me unsupported Filter.
I can proably Render it in real time with out any problem.
I will contact pinnacle to "fix" the picture error on the next driver release. (I am in the beta program).

IIRC, from the time qwhen I was using Prem 5.1, the "backwards" filter did nasty things to the video (possibly getting the field oreder wrong, but I can't be sure), but setting speed to -100% always got it right.

I tried both using the same clip with Prem 5.1c and got exactly the same results. Extreme flickering on playback - not really useable at all.

Two work-arounds I know of ;
Make sure de-interlace is ticked on relevant clip. Clip/Video/Field Options
While you're there, tick Reverse Field Dominance.
You can also play around with the Frame Blending option. On Prem 5.1 it's select clip / right click. Field Options/Frame Hold. Specify the frame rate you want to try and tick Frame Blending Option.
Ctrl Z is undo.
