Could anyone tell me whether you can add two different speed PentiumIII Processors to a dual capable motherboard ? I have just one p550 at the mo, and I don't think they are available anymore. Cheers in advance.

Your best bet is to put a free want-ad in Micro Computer Mart for a P550. Should be cheap if no one wants them.
Differring CPU's may require different operating voltages and will they underclock?
You could always ask Evesham Micros, call in person, they might respond.
Go on, dive in.

The simple answer is no, you can't have two different speed processors on the same motherboard, even if one is over/underclocked and the other isn't. I would check places like e-bay for out of production processors as they often crop up from people ugrading selling old equipment.

One word of caution, even if you have two processors of the same speed other factors come in which can cause potential problems, so very carefully check the spec of your processor (cache size, cpu type and stepping number) and get another that's an exact match otherwise you could ger instabilities, also make sure your case as adequate cooling as dual processor generate a lot of heat.
