I'm an experienced Steadicam owner/operator with my own MK-V Nexus 4 stage sled system and a complete MK-V AR Revolution system (http://www.steadiop.com/cms/MK-V_AR.html). I'm guessing most will know what a steadicam can help with in terms of production values but click my weblink below to get some idea of the what the AR Revolution can do.

In short.... The AR enables you to go from high mode to low mode as quickly as you can 'spin' the rig. The rig will go through this switch very easily between modes, shots can also be taken while the rig is in transition, so you can shoot from high, to mid, to low mode in one smooth sequence. This is possible because the rig uses auto stabilising technology, mechanical, electronic and software driven.

This is an exciting possibility as now a shot that had to be cut in two or three, can now be shot from right on the ground to nearly 9 feet high, all the while tracking - in one continuous shot.

A good example of its capabilities are that you can start with the camera inside a car - say the back seat (in mid mode) - and track laterally across the interior and continue the shot to the exterior before then moving to low mode onto a pair of feet walking and track 360 degrees around, to then boom up the body to the head and then look down at the person, all the time tracking around them.

Hi Felix,

Welcome here... I love the AR Revolution, a brilliant system. I'll put you into my address book as we occasionally have use for steadicam services in my little production crew, and the Revolution gives me some additional creative ideas. Would work very well for a doc I have planned :D

Cheers Chrome - much appreciated.

I'm planning on running a series of demo sessions for directors/DPs and production houses to show what the AR can do. Its difficult to describe what it can do but when people see it in action and see what it can do..... the penny drops....

I'm also planning on offering a limited number of shoots for free to interesting projects where the Director/DP is prepared to plan specific shots to make the most of the AR in return for some BTS material.

Keep me in mind for your doc.
