OK I am thinking a selection of singular drives each 300 - 500 gig with a project on each keeping everything seperate

But is a SATA 2 drive quick enough / capable in doing this

How will the drive cope with 1 2 3 or 4 streams of video IN EDIUS 4x for real time playback?

Anyone know of a supply for internal SATA 2 CADDIES to implement this if its the way to go?

Thanks mooblie

But Thats only SATA 1 not SATA 2 compatible. I am told the caddies interface needs to be compatible to achieve the higher data rate.

I have found a supplier but they are 45 for the caddy / drawer and 25 for the draw only, they are SATA 2 compliant

Any help on the oth questions anyone??

I'm sure the eBuyer caddy is passive (hence no bearing on the SATA I/II question - I see it says SATA 1.5Gbps, but I bet it would work at SATA 3.0. At that price - worth a punt.)
