A couple of months ago on the temporary site, I posted a request for motherboards etc to build a DV 500 system. I had one reply from which I did some research and built a system using the following config:
AsusP3V4X mobo
Intel PIII 667 chip
256Mb 133 Dram
G400 d/h 32 Mb graphics card
Soundblaster platinum sound card
DV500 card
2 30GB Maxtor 5400 udma66 harddrives (the video drive reading and writing at 24Mb/s)
Cd rewriter from previous system.
The system to date has been stable and reliable after intitial traumas caused by both generic memory chips being faulty (these were replaced by the company)
