Does anyone know of or used a food/kitchen studio in the south east. I need to hire one on a regular basis to shoot 30 video recipes a month.

Depends on your budget, but QVC at Battersea may have one - worth a call. I will expect a free cake freshly baked, in the post, if successful...

Good idea Chris and ideal location, I'll give them a ring.

I've given up on Sage by the way, the accountants are doing everything now including the wages, bargain if you ask me. I hate accounts, completely evades me, nominal ledgers, chart of accounts, there's more jargon than our business.

I would be interested to hear if you get any joy, Clare. Another thought - try a kitchen retailer. We had to do some filming in a kitchen a few years back, and managed to get the co-operation of a high street outlet - they were delighted to be involved. It also creates a good opportunity for a Press release etc to show you are working with another local business. Another possibility - perhaps a stately home, or large house -plenty of those in Sussex, if not Crawley. These places cost a lot to maintain, they may be glad of extra revenue.

Shame about Sage - I don't suppose you bought the 2-user version of Instant, did you? If so, I might buy it off you if you want to get rid of it.

The problem there is most displays I've seen are not functional (as a set), nor could they be made to be, most are designed as conventional kitchens and are thus the wrong aspect for filming - there will also be insurance issues I suspect. If you're going down the route of getting a functional kitchen studio built in-store why not just go for a sponsorship deal and then find a suitable quite location were you'll have more control - of which there must be many in the West / East Sussex area within traveling distance of Crewley - were the set can be built?
