Hi
I'm in singapore for two months and so cannot find a copy of my magazine over here, now I've read on the webpage that the canon mv20i
camera is reviewed in the last issue.
I'm very interested in this camera now did the review justify the quality of the camera?

Hi Hendrik,

I wrote the review, and my conclusions were quite straightforward.

A £150 premium for DV-in is too high. £70 is more like it.

Picture quality is great for a single CCD camcorder

Sound quality is awful, as the mic is poorly positioned on the top of the machine.

There are no mic or headphone sockets unless you buy an additional base station.

The camcorder can be operated single-handedly, but controls are small and fiddly, so you'll get a lot of camera shake.

DV-in works as it should, with full device control and video input and output.

Hope this helps,

Pete

If only all his reviews were as short and too the point as this precise, my life would be a lot easier!

Yes, and the magazine could be printed as a leaflet, which would solve the loose page problem too!

I've just been discussing this with Bob - he's *very* cross!

I'm an administrator now - so watch it Gladders!
