Late subscription gifts

I discovered yesterday that there has been a MAJOR foul-up with subscription gifts (disk caddies; Scart-to-phono leads; AND tapes!!)and that a lot of orders are outstanding.

People who know me (in person or from reading my editorials) will realise that I didn't take the news very well - the air was blue for a very considerable amount of time.

However, I immediately placed orders for everything that's needed (and more besides) and expect that goods will be arriving through next week at our subs dept.

Unfortunately, there is one problem. I can't get within an acceptable timespan (days/weeks, rather than months)enough caddies - of the type we offer as a subs gift and for sale - to cover all outstanding order.

I'll be writing to everyone who has an order outstanding for caddies, offering them a different caddy - one that has a fan built in, which the other one doesn't.

My concern is that unless we are very careful, some folk who've already got a caddy will end up receiving another that is incompatible.

I apologise for the inconvenience and will try hard to sort out EVERYBODY'S outstanding order as soon as humanly possible.

I ordered my subscription to the magazine back in May with a HD caddy as my free gift and paid for a second caddy at the same time. My credit card statement has just arrived and shows that you've had my cash since 26 May. I've received my first subscription copy of the magazine - any idea when my caddies will turn up. I appreciate that you are in the process of sorting out some confusion - should I begin to worry yet?

I received my HD Caddy today, the new one's with the fan. I must say, they are the best designed caddies i've seen, easy quick release function and simple opening to access the drive contained. I will be ordering a few more of these to replace my current, Half damaged caddies!. Nice one BoB :)
