Well, I just did an internet sweep for the highly expected/proclaimed/ etc, Infinity Camera from Grass Valley - mmmm, looks like it's a dead duck already - same old stuff on Grass Valley site for the last 12 months and out of the 2 dealers listed in the UK - Holdan - no mention of anything about a camera - even on the horizon, and Mitcorp (who?).

At least Holdan have an up to date site with prices etc - whereas Mitcorp have been showing all prices for everything on their website at £0.00 for at least 6 months - what a bargain! Instills great confidence I must say!

Don't mean to be cynical, but Sony, Cannon, Panasonic and even Maplin have released masses of stuff in the last 6 months - and kept their websites up to date - I'd say the whole Infinity thing is deceased - or will it get an airing at the Videoforum perhaps...

Aaaaah, that's better - nothing like a good rant -

A word on Mitcorp. They are one of the best companies I have dealt with and I can't say enough good things about them. They don't list the prices on their site because they expect you to phone (the only thing I don't like about them). They can do you some good deals though.

See this thread: http://forums.dvdoctor.net/showthread.php?p=277726#post277726 . Infinity is definately scheduled for Video Forum, along with Panasonics HD P2 2/3" offering, so it seems far too early to call it deceased - maybe things will be clearer in a fortnghts time?
