I've been thinking,
I have been trying to justify buying an "ARCHOS 504"

...I think I will buy one tomorrow, if you guys can answer this:
Would the ARCHOS 504 work as a nice external Monitor for a Z1????:o

I will only tell you what one local ( and trusted ) dealer told me.
he won't stock archos units ....... he can't replace them fast enough .......
and i don't mean he can't keep enough stock to sell ........

well, I got me an Archos AV500, ie one of the older versions, and it stomps all over ipods etc
that said, haven't tried it for video out, since I haven't bought the portable video converter, only the one that came with the unit.
must give it a bash. Probably proprietry, though was reading on an archos forum yesterday about someone using generic camera with AV500 for a hang-glider setup, rather than buying the official cam

...interesting
I think I might get one, and see. I'll be getting it from Currys, so I'm pretty sure I could get a refund or something if it turns out to be crap?!?!
