If I shot footage (HDV) on an FX1 and intended to edit SD (i.e. footage downconverted) would I need my FX1 to playback the footage into my editing machine?


Or could I use any camera?

You would need to use your FX1 or another HDV camera or deck to be able to do the downconvert to SD.
