Hi, Main Man here again! Please could someone tell me where to get horror music on the net for a horror film that I and some friends are making. HTTP: of FTP sites please.
Thanks in advance,
Main Man.

I'm surprised there aren't any replies, but then again, you are asking for a freebie....
An alternative is to look for Trackline Music Services - they're on the web, and for 25 or 35 quid, they'll send you a CD with a selection in the style you want. (Sorry - I don't know if they do horror)
I used them recently, for my Scoobytrax Video (See November issue) and was very pleased.
You can imagine what I expected the music to be like (I've seen porno movies!) :) but it was great, real (sounding?) guitars etc... for 35 quid, it really gives the film the finishing touch, that low quality free stuff just can't give....
go-on splash out, don't underestimate the value that music gives - especially with horror!

Do you or any of your friends play instruments?
Play about with a half decent synth and you could end up with something really cool! Have a listen to the 'Haloween' soundtrack - very simple but dead effective. Using music that's too over-the-top might detract from the movie.
Saying that, me and my mate Pete might be able to halp you out - we recorded a song for my last movie in his recording studio and we're always looking for new projects to help out on - a horror movie is something we're particularly interested in doing a soundtrack for. Email me if you're interested.
Christian.
