I was wondering if there are any good Fx1 soulder mounts out there?
Or if anybody could reccomend a good place to rent a glidecam...
Thank You

Not really a shoulder mount, but the Fig Rig may be worth a try.
There's a little BeBob controller on the right side to control zoom (good adjustable rates), focus (manual rocker or push-auto) and Rec Start-Stop.
It's not really a glidecam, more of a virtual tripod when there's no time or space to use one. I've got a tiddly glidecam thing that takes a PDX-10, but you only had to sneeze and the whole thing required another 30 minute setup, and you bargained on having to do a number of retakes in order to get it right. No good in run-and-gun event videography! :(

I have the CAVision single pistol grip mount. It works well but the placement of the viewfinder is not ideal for shoulder work.

No idea, but they were showing them at the Video Forum this year, so I guess any Sony dealer selling FX1 or Z1 should be able to get it. Try Prestons.
I looked at the Sony mount, but it's more of a shoulder pad than a full blown mount like the Cavision http://www.cavision.com/SonyHDV/sps.htm. I have the Cavision and it's pretty good, but I find I prefer using a monopod. I was going to Ebay it, but if you're interested then drop me a pm.

The Z1/FX1 work well with a Vivanco Shoulder Brace. Padded shoulder support, padded chest support, and plenty of adjustment to get the camera in optimum position for individual camera operators.
The modification that I have made is to fit a spare tripod quick-release plate to the underside of the camera support panel so the camera+brace assembly can be taken off the shoulder and clamped safely on a tripod when not in use.

I'm sure the DV Rig Pro (http://dvtec.tv/_wsn/page2.html) would take the Z1/FX1 OK.
Try the Camsling - for only around £100 it's pretty good.

PAG are bringing out their own version - I think it's a bit like the DVRig Pro.
I tried the trial version at BBC Wales yesterday and quite liked it, although I don't really like the lack of response and feel that you get when the camera is just in your own hands as it were...
No idea about the price yet either.

PAG are advising a price of £425 and it's available now.
Maybe a bit pricey for the likes of me but here's some more info.

.....
A "bit like"???
Blimey - it looks like DVRig's lawyers will be onto PAG with a Registered Design or Patent infringement if you ask me.
