Alternative to Premiere Pro to get HDV into Premiere 6.5

Hi all

There are lots of criticisms of Premiere Pro 1.5.1 and I'd like to stick with Premiere 6.5 for editing purposes.

Although I can use freeware to capture HDV, is there any way this can then be used in 6.5 at its native resolution? I very much doubt there is but thought I'd ask.

Right now I'm planning to upgrate to PPro and lose some functionality on the timeline.

No chance of HDV in 6.5 it's 1.5.1 or LE 6.1 or Edius 3.31 or Vegas 6
