I thought it was about time we tried to bring together in one place all the good stuff we're seeing on the various DVdoctor forums about HDV and HD. Hence this new forum.

Please do try to post here in future on all matters relating to HDV, and please don't hesitate to suggest threads that could usefully be duplicated here - or, perhaps, yourself put in links to such threads.

Enjoy!

Can I nominate for moving here the thread I started 18 months ago in "Chatter", "HDTV progress abroad"? I think it had some of the first posts about HD - it's interesting to look back at the early entries to see just how much has changed in only 18 months - see http://forums.dvdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=31797&page=1 .

Secondly, the thread that succeeded it - "HDTV in Europe" - http://forums.dvdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=32225&page=1&pp=10 and more recently the thread I started about the new JVC camera - http://forums.dvdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=33628&page=1

I'm sure there are threads about the Z1 that could sensibly be moved here as well.

And the thread of Mark Schubin's messages, they're mostly about HDTV.

Thanks both!

Any more suggestions?

I reckon I also ought to put in a copy of the thread about the Sony FX1 review and maybe those about the Edius and LE6 reviews too - though I think I'll leave the originals in place.

I've now done a minor trawl and moved a whole bunch more stuff over here.

Anything glaringly obvious I missed?
