I've just been connected to Broadband, and things seem to be going quite well.
However, I am having problems trying to watch video from the BBC website.
It seems to be trying to download a file called video_daily.ram
This file seems to be a very small file, and Windows Media player doesn't seem to recognose the format.
I'm sure I missing a codec of some sort, but can't seem to find out which one.
Any ideas anyone ?

Hi
Check out www.real.com (http://www.real.com)
The Real video/audio player is not everyone's favourite piece of software to have to install, but its what the BBC are currently using.

Paul,
Thanks for the info, do I have to install this software ? I have had serious problems with this software in the past, and if push comes to shove, I'll choose not to install.
I find it so invasive. It seems to install itself in places I don't want to (but it does anyway).

Try to find realplayer 8 (perhaps on an old magazine cover disc). It plays all the content I've found and it's slightly less intrusive than the current "real one" player. I go through the menus and switch off all the online update options, taskbar icon, status bars etc. There's also an option to disable the update reminders for 30 days as well.
This makes it fairly tame and bearable http://www.dvdoctor.net/cgi-bin/ubb/smile.gif
