I was wondering if anyone would be able to recommend a camera for live streaming. I have been looking at purchasing the Fuji F601 (I could do with a digital still camera, but its not essential), which does 15fps VGA with audio, however, as the main interest of the stream would be its audio content, I am concerned that the quality of its internal mic would not suffice. Are there any cameras with a audio line input, or would I need separate capture of audio and video, if so what hardware can people recommend and how do I sync, or can anyone vouch for the quality of the F601 or its predecessor the 6900Z? Many thanks in advance.

Consider an osprey video card instead?

Then using with the Windows Media or Real encoders you can use your PC to do the encoding for you instead of getting a camera to do it. This way you can get a camera that is more suited for doing what camera's do i.e. making video, rather than encoding streaming stuff.
