Digital photo's to DVD?

I have a copy of winoncd.With this I can apparently put digital images onto a cd.rw and read on a DVD player.I have managed to play a AVI file on my DVD player but I am not sure how to put photos into a slide show and do I have to convert images to AVi files.How do I do this.

WinOnCD can write CDs in VCD format, which many (but not all) DVD players will handle. Video gets put onto the CD in MPEG-1 format - if you started with an AVI WinOnCD has converted it for you.

VCD also supports a distinct slide-show format. You don't have to convert the images to video files, WinOnCD will build a VCD containing images which the player then renders as a slide show.

Just go for it and see if it plays!
