Can anyone advise me please. I am new to this, and I find it all a bit confusing.
I have a JVC GR-DVM5 (DV) Camcorder, with IEEE1394 connector, and a GV-CB3E Video Capture Box.
My PC is a PII233 with 4.3gb drive. I have a MiroTV card, which does enable video capture to PC, albeit of small size and low quality.
I wish to achieve the following (Over and above transferring from Camcorder to VHS recorder, which I can do):
1/ Transfer from Camcorder to PC, and store finished films on CD (I have a CD Writer)
2/ Transfer back from CD to VHS video.
3/ Transfer Still Images (to best quality) from the Camcorder to PC.
My basic qustion is what card/cards should I use, and what are the limitations of those cards.
I do not want to spend thousands of pounds, nor upgrade my PC. I wish to get away with as little as possible; although I am prepared to spend maybee £300 - £500.
Can anyone help me please?
