Can anyone provide details or a relevent site on upgrade from win98 to SE I only need
files relevent to firewire install etc not 90% of the upgrade features

There is, as far as I am aware, no way to properly bring up the standard version of 98 to the same spec that 98SE offers for FireWire - this is why the instructions with all OHCI FireWire cards say you must be running at least 98SE.
You should be able to buy an OEM version of 98SE cheaply at most computer fairs.
