Syquest Syjet 1.5 Hard Drive

Can anyone help ,Please?
I have a parallel port external version of the above which I use to store video clips and titles etc.With win 95, miro DC20 & Premiere 4.2 it worked well. I have now a new computer with Win98, Miro DC30 plus & Premiere 5.1.
Trying to install the Syjet has caused many problems & my supplier says that the installation disc / drivers are not compatible with Win 98.As you may know. Syquest have ceased to trade, so my question is, where can I obtain suitable drivers or does anyone know of a fix to get around the problem.

You say you have a new computer, I know there are some problems with the way the parrellel ports are implemented on some boards. This is I think the 'winbond' chip and some versions do not like working with drives running off the parallel port. Often the mouse freezes up when you try to run the software.

the problem is more than likely with the bios setting of the port. Although if you do need to find a new set of drivers, try the following site -

it has drivers and web site links to about 99% of all hardware manufacturers.
